Annual Awards Evening & EGM - Wed 23 Nov

 18 November 2016

Another reminder that the club's Annual Awards Evening will be held on Wednesday 23 November, starting at 7.45 pm in the sports hall at Craigswood Sports Centre.

All club members and family are invited and encouraged to attend.

There is NO training on Wednesday 23 November.

There will be five sets of presentations at the Annual Awards Evening:

1. League Reward T-Shirts

Representing the club in team competitions is an important part of club membership, so athletes are rewarded with a free limited edition club t-shirt after competing in 10 matches, 20 matches and 40 matches.

The league matches that are eligible are those that are completely open to all athletes: the East District Cross Country league, the Scottish Athletics Indoor League, the Forth Valley League and the Central & South of Scotland Athletics League.

The first set of "40" t-shirts will be presented on Wednesday night, and the next batch of "10" and "20" t-shirts will be presented to athletes who have reached those milestones over the last two months.

More details about the league match rewards and a list of club athletes and their league match count is available on the League Rewards page.

2. Club XC Championship Medals

For athletes who competed in both races in the Livingston Cross Country Series, medals will be presented to the overall 1st/2nd/3rd placed athlete in each age group.

The overall placings are based on the total time for both races in the series.

3. Club T&F Championship Trophies

Trophies from the Club's Track & Field Championships in September will be presented to the overall 1st/2nd/3rd placed athlete in each age group.

To be eligible for the overall trophies, athletes should have competed in a mixture of track & field events, and competed in 3 events for U11s to U15s or 4 events for U17s and Seniors.

The trophy winners are decided using the UKA Award scoring tables with the winners in each age group having the highest points total. The tables are available below. The U11 80m/150m/600m will be scored using the 100m/200m/800m tables.

4. Young Volunteer Awards

New for 2016, Scottish Athletics Volunteer Award certificates will be presented to young volunteers who have contributed at least 10 hours of volunteering to the club during the season.

Certificates will be presented for 10 hours, 25 hours and 50 hours.

5. Annual Performance and Endeavour Trophies

There are fourteen annual trophies to be presented for performance and endeavour during the 2016 season, with the winners decided by voting from club coaches and team managers.

The trophy categories are: Best Newcomer, Young Athlete, Endeavour, XC Performance, Field Performance, Track Performance and Overall Champion, with male and female trophies in each category.

Club Kit

Club kit including vests, crop tops, shorts, hoodies, t-shirts and tracksuits bottoms will be available for purchase on Wednesday night from 7.30 pm.

Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM)
